Web 2.0 and Education

Classes like Web Tools for Educators have accelerated my passion, interest and knowledge in recognizing the potential of opportunity and innovation in this relatively new medium, Web 2.0. My genuine interest in the development of educational resources, primarily for those involved in sports has directly benefited from the emergence of technology in education. Interactive technology and education shared with ease can spur endless genuine output creating true learning while cultivating a means to contribute to society.

In class we originated a few assignments, this let me work on the projects over time, creating a journey of self guidnace in learning. The online discussions were information based only, well organized, and nurturing with perceptions from my classmates and guidance in assignments including feedback from the professor. There was a sense and actuality of ease in navigation throughout the online course and the instructors genuine interest in his own work provided an experience that was positive well beyond expectation.

An unexpected positive outcome was originating my own projects, creating an intrinsic feeling as I genuinely felt positive about what I learned. Extrinsically the feeling of satisfaction in creating as to show and tell was enjoying as well. I could only imagine the other pieces of work produced in other classes over time and felt a culminating lecture and presentation of materials could have been a way to improve on the course, though I feel it was magnificent course as is.

As an entrepreneur with interests in web design and web 2.0 as to cultivate fundraising and charity efforts, educational resources, sport resources for players, coaches and trainers  and projects in music, and caribbean arts and crafts this course helped introduced avenues of endless opportunity and corralled a passion for knowledge in an expansive area. With good intention the potential to positively impact the greater good is achievable. I would certainly attend and participate in another discovery program like this in the future and would welcome the invitation and opportunity.
